Congrats. My 13 year old daughter loves horses and is wanting to get into some kind of showing or rodeo. She would love to do barrels but she is afraid of going fast on a horse because she thinks she is out of control. What options does she have?

I know nothing about western pleasure so can't speak on that. As far as barrels she doesn't have to start going fast. She can start by walking the pattern and work her way up. No barrel racer starts by haul tail into and around the barrels. Its a gradual process

Yep, get her in some lessons if she needs them & just start slow. Getting faster will come as she get's more comfortable.
