Hard to believe that they had stores in Mexico before they did in North Texas.

They own Central Market. That's how they have been serving North Texas. It's about time they let those stores stand on their own.

It seemed to take forever to get the one in Hudson Oaks built but it was worth the wait.
Being from San Antonio, I grew up with HEB’s and it’s really nice to finally have them up here.

Wow, crazy. I became very loyal to HEB during the hurricanes. Every other store was closed because they couldn't operate at full tilt. HEB said the heck with that, we will sell you what we can and do our best to help. They shipped trucks of ice and anything else we needed and busted their butt to be open in less than ideal situations. Meanwhile, kroger, Randall's, and whoever else stayed closed....for days.

They assisted the people of Wimberley after the flood before the store here was built. Truckloads of ice, water, food etc.
