At first, I thought banded water snake...but that’s a water moc, judging from the eyes set on the sides and the underbelly coloring. Tail isn’t all that stumpy.

Edit: looks like that’s a leaf and not the tail...it is stumpy.

Man oh man. We’ve been at our SOT since March if this year and have yet to come across a rattle bug. I’ve been looking and I know they are around but I haven’t seen one yet. PS, I do carry extra drawers just in case I see one.
