2020/2021 east texas hunting thread

I saw two yearling bucks and a big hog this evening but no shooters yet. The little yearling 8pt had the best headgear I've ever seen on our place on a 1.5 yr old.

First sit of the year for me. Young 8 behind me about 50 yards and 5 crows under the feeder.

I hoping for some pork. Just ain't into the deer yet for some reason

Just shot a pig from my number 1 blind. Didn’t wanna do it but they had deer blowing all around me so my hand was forced. After this weekend they’ll mostly be getting passes for a while so it had to be done.

Not sure really. Didn't get into cameras either. I got em out but it was late and I'm not excited about checking them later today.

I'm really hoping wife and kiddo get that first archery deer this year. I'm waiting on a recurve string and if I can get confident in it, I'm going to give that a go. Maybe that will spark my enthusiasm

Sitting in a tree in Anderson County this morning. A small 8, 6, and a spike just came through. Kinda hoping for a pig also. Or that long headed doe.
