Took the boat to the W lake for a test run. Since it hasn't been run in a year, I wasn't expecting much. And glad I didn't. It was pumping water. But maybe not enough. Gotta figure out if that's the problem or sometthing else.

Anyway, pods preformed just like I had hoped. I only got a quarter mile from the ramp when the motor started coughing. So I just fished right there in that area with the troller. Found a sunken bridge frame going over a creek bed. Caught about a dozen sandies and 3 striperz. Stripers were under size. And so were some of the sandies. The sandies that were legal, were just barley. I didn't wanna take a chance on them rubbing the tails shorter so everything went back in the drink. I got 3 hours around noon total in. About half on jigs and half on minners.
And no telling if I'll get the boat back in the water before June 1st gets here. She gets winterized for summer storage then anyway.

The fish are bite-n and there's hogs to be killed, gotta go!

This is what I found last Sunday. On second thought, it's a frame for some boat slips. And maybe a walkway.

Whitney web sight says June 1st before they will take camping reservations again. But distric web sight says May 21st for the distrrict. I'm guessing it's up to the project manager for their area.

But ACE ain't real good at keeping their webs sights current.

We have reservations at Cedron later in June, hope we get to camp, chase some schoolers, sit by fire and enjoy for a change.

I'm headed up tomorrow night to pick up some tires. If I were to hunt pigs/scout Saturday AM, where would be a good place to run into some pigs? I don't mind putting in some mileage.

PM me if need be.

Just an FYI... possum sheriff’s are out in force.

Lake Pat... no tickets, but got schooled real good on the basics of TX numbers, transfer of title, and other stuff.

He was very professional and respectful.

They were checking every boat, kayak, canoe...

We fished Navarro mills twice this weekend since it’s close to the ranch and got skunked both times fishing for whites and blacks. Not sure what the deal was
