We just closed on our new property in Oklahoma. I have always dreamed of owning a great hunting place and I believe this place suits the bill.
After talking it over with my wife, and many prayers to the man upstairs - the search was on. I looked online for months in Texas and Oklahoma. I kept seeing all the threads from Darton, and the others that had purchased land up there. Seeing all the beautiful rolling hills and huge oaks in online listings and also in several threads here I was leaning more towards Oklahoma- not to mention the BIG DEER. So I called our very own Darton. Jay was great to work with. I explained to Jay what I wanted in a property and he found me the perfect place. About the land - 270 acres in Pittsburg County, north west of McAlester. Has a creek running through the place, and every kind of tree I could imagine. Place is 100% huntable. Cant wait to get back up there and get going on all the projects. Need to set up a camp and get some get some cameras going. Should be a fun ride. If your thinking about looking for property in Oklahoma I strongly recommend you give "Darton" Jay Cassels a call. The man knows the land and deer. Will try and post pics through tap-a-talk shortly.
