I hunt out of Milano on Old Rock house Road. Had two decent bucks coming every couple of days on my camera. Opening weekend I let my grandson shoot a doe and a spike and haven't had another deer on my camera in the day light.

Lots of young deer right now but the matures are moving in.

Shot a doe this morning. I'm off 485 about 4 miles from the big Brazos

Talked to an employee of ours that hunts on the river north of Calvert and he said a 3.5 old buck was chasing a doe Friday morning on the grass farm

Lots of does and young bucks. One big buck seen this afternoon but no shot.

I’m close to ya, I hunt in Robertson county. No bucks chasing. 1 mature buck on camera and he’s actually showing up during day light! Quite a few does and young bucks. We had a late fawn drop, all of our fawns are tiny a few even still have spots. Almost all of our does have fawns so I haven’t put any meat in the freezer yet.

12 does last night at one stand and 8 this morning on the other side it the place.

Saw some chasing. Had a nice 9 at the feeder last night. He was showing no sign of rutting. A pig saved his life. Hopefully we will meet again Wednesday.

I have a couple pictures of a mature one chasing.

We are in western Milam county and have seen some posturing and rubs are popping up but nothing serious yet. The younger bucks are feeling a little frisky.
