Fastest growing trees or large bushes for a fence line?

On the back of our property, which is all coastal pasture, there is a a junky trashed out neighborhood amassing 10 yds from the fence line. Thinking of planting pines about 10 yds deep on the whole fence line just so we don’t have to look at it, but would like to hear other opinions.

Red Tip Photinia will make a solid fence as tall as "you" let it grow.

I hate it too, but he sure won’t ever see his neighbors once that stuff takes hold.

Pines are fast growing but I would think that the coverage would not be great as they get older. Cedars would cover more but will take a lot of water out of the ground.

Arizona Cypress. I planted some between me and my new neighbor. Told them...they seem like nice folks...I just don't want to see you. It grows quick and is broad.

Do they need to be kept "trimmed". Elaeagnus are hardy will do the trick quick, but they will grow out of control and be real bushy looking. I regret the day I planted mine, but they are in the front of my house.

Photinias have very invasive roots so don't plant them anywhere near your foundation or sewer or water lines.

Plant a row of thorny trees with your screening cover.

Not so much Cedars but Junipers instead! People get them confused! Photenia’s are the way to go!
