Axis are my favorite deer to hunt in Texas. I love hunting whitetail. I grew up hunting mule deer in the Panhandle, and they have always been my favorite until I started hunting axis. I just love hunting them. Very challenging critters to hunt. I think they're the most beautiful deer on the planet, and they are probably the best tasting as well. Plus you can hunt them year round. What's not to love?
