There are a few fishing stores but I haven't seen a mom n pop hunting store that carries a good selection of quality merchandise in a long time. Am I not looking in the right place?

I don't know that they exist anymore. I guess there's not as much of a market for it compared to fishing.

Scheels is far from mom & pop, but it checks all the other boxes. They have nice stuff.

I really liked Sportsmens Warehouse when they were here. Good product selection and prices.

They've been getting most of my business for that last year or so. I still shop Cabelas on occasion, but mostly fishing gear or stuff I order online
