I’ve seen several that had holes through the skull only to survey. If you miss the brain cavity or spinal column it’s all sinus and tongue meat. It’s crazy what they can survive.

the most important part in my opinion is barrel length.. my pig gun ar 556 is 20"
3250ft/s tested with 55gr sp ... velocity kills ! energy/speed is exponential ... same bullet in 10.5" will be less than impressive ...

This bullet is the best pig killer I’ve used.

I’ve got some of those loaded up to try in my 220 Swift.

I've always used the 62gr. fusions or barnes with great results. I bought a daniel defense mk12 that shoots so well with the hornady black 75gr HP's I thought I'd give them a try. I've only done neck shots on does and head shots on pigs, but my gosh the damage has been insane!! Would I shoulder shoot a big buck with one, absolutely not, but so far color me impressed!

Did ya have to hold him down with your foot to shoot him? Sure looks like it makes a pretty red round hole on the other side.

                Just fun-n brother.

I'll second that. I sold my AR before Sam comes for em.

55 grain VMax with 10.5 barrel, 100 yards or less? I think I would be fine with S.Texas size deer and try to make a neck shot. I want to use mine and send pics to my friends back in Indiana.

In an AR Gold Dots or Fusions (arguably the same bullet) are hard to beat for an all around bullet.

I’ve had great success using the Sierra 65 gn Gameking and the Speer 70 gn SP on hogs.

Powder I used was Re-15 and CFE 223.

                            My AR has a 1&8 twist & 18” length.
