Thanks y'all. I am thankful that my sister is close to him and can visit him regularly. I hate that I am not able to visit very often. I hate even more the thought of my grandad being in the condition he's in and living in a nursing home. My sister's story here made me feel a little better about it, but I still don't like it. I know he's in God's hands though, and this story reinforced that. Very encouraging.

Very good. I often think of my grandmom who passed some years ago. My mother mailed me some pics of her when my dad was about 10 years old. I miss her whistling and singing. She was awesome!! Thanks for the story / reminder.

                      Thanks for sharing that Shane.

Bapa is a very blessed man...he already knows. There are many that don't and never will.

Shane & JSK - thank you both for the stories. Very powerful and very emotional. It's a reality check to the rat race working world on what is important in life.

Very good post. There is a song that reminds me of my wife's grand-mother every time I hear it. I think it's called "I'm Getting Ready for Glory"? The song came to mind again while reading your post.
