Myself and my better half made a trip up the river. We caught probably caught close to 50 fish (32 crappie) in total. (Crappie, bass, bream, Grinnell etc..) We brought home 5 crappie and 2 cats for supper and boy were they good... Maybe should have kept more!

Did i tell ya it was HOT?? Good lord I sweat off a couple of pounds...

Rode doubles with my boy and got some cool shots! Knocked this off the bucket list!

Got off the water early today. Broke the locking pin n the Ultrex and closest repair shop is Springfield! Barf! Hoping somebody here has a spare TM we can steal one off of! We have a spare TM but robbed this part months ago and somebody I fish with that I will leave nameless forgot to order another one so we're currently dead in the water! Got some folks looking for us! Found some good fish in 2 spots but probably not enough for 2 days! Need a big hybrid crappie to compete but we haven't caught one in 3 trips up here.

Still beats working for a living!

Story I heard is the guy that owned the property nearby selling all the lake lots went in and cut all the standing trees (hundreds of them) off at water level (lake was low when he did it) to improve the view. So now there are tons of stumps right under the water level that will get ya.

I know right

I think part of my issue with motors is I buy them after somebody already "broke them in" for more for 25-35 years before I get them.

Hopefully one day I'll be able to get a ski boat again for the kids. They are just as ate up with it as I am. Little man already jumping wake to wake.

Well I've got the boat hooked up. Heading to summer workouts. Then this afternoon I'm either going to chase some crappie on Waco or go to Louisiana and chase trout. Will decide about noon.

Working in the room some today. Prefishing is over today thankfully!

We've caught some good fish. IDK if we can catch 7 in a day much less 2 days though.

Decided to hit Waco, fishing timber and the bridge. Slow so far. Catching good fish but just one in a spot then move. Think I'm going to head south tomorrow.

Taking a break from working 3 jobs this weekend. Figure if I'm going to be poor I may as well have fun sometimes.

Ain’t no way in hell fish are going in my beer cooler!! Tough day for us. Tied for 22nd. Half pound out of top 10. Didn’t catch a good fish all day. had a pound and a quarter more Monday and Tuesday and left out areas alone. Slapped a fat hybrid crappie in the face for 5 minutes with a minnow and she never moved. Woulda made top 5 with that fish in the boat. Deep dish pepperoni from Pizza Glen coming right up and some cold beers and camp with some of our Missouri buds to go tell them their lake sucks and we’re ready to get back to E Tx!!

They were tough today. Ended with 33 crappie around 11am. Was hot and they were finicky for sure

Finished in 10th! Got a plaque and a check. Happy with it after being in 22 yesterday! Thought we could do what we did today both days and better but the fish proved us wrong again!

About to have BBQ and go to bed early so we can hit the road home tomorrow.

Kids wanted to fish today so went back to waco. Crazy, couldn't pull any off timber or the bridge. Found two good brush piles in protected water away from the idiots with 150k wake boats pulling tubes.

I don't find a pile like this often! But when I do I usually catch a fish or two! Kids caught some good ones! Jax outfished me!

Tagging along with Cajun Ginger to Conroe this week to ski at Hangar 9.

Any of you guys recommend any food or must hit bars around there? Not the overpriced stuff on the lake. Traveling from westphalia to conroe. So that's the path we're taking.

Also anybody wants to see some crazy stuff on a kneeboard. I'll be there all day with plenty of Busch Light.

First day to fish for Texas slabs in a couple weeks! Conroe has gotten hot so we rolled down to lake Houston and they had 50 in the boat by 1015! Nothing wrong with those days!

We got into them pretty good on Grapevine last weekend. It was HOT with hardly any wind and the fish were finicky. We had to hit multiple brush piles and downsize to 1 - 1 1/2 inch jigs to get bit but ended up with a respectable mess
