Let’s talk plate carriers/ballistic vest

With all the craziness in the world I’ve been thinking about picking up a plate carrier. I am totally ignorant when it comes to this topic, and I’m not trying to be Tacticool but I want something to offer some protection and that I can add a couple ar mag holders.

Any tips on picking one out?

Just remember with steel there will be splatter. Ceramics are lighter and wont produce splatter but wont last as long as steel. Ceramic is also a lot more expensive.
