Sorry about the delay y'all. I was focused on getting him to the house and into the cooler. Thank God for friends like Camoquest. She drove 35 minutes to come help me Cape him and get him into the cooler. Heck it took me that long just to get him back to the house. My husband is disabled and could not help. Broke his heart, but he's right proud of me!

I'll post the full story tomorrow. I can't tell you how many times I almost had him only to not get it done.

He looks huge in that pic with the other deer checking him out. Man what a big body on that beautiful 8. Congratulations on getting him! That's one anybody would be proud of. Did you weigh him by chance?

No, didn't weigh him.

The first thing the taxi noticed was, "my goodness his head is small." Thanks! But even I noticed how small his ears were. We thought on camera we had a 20-21" wide buck but he's 17 3/4". The taxi thinks he'll go 120 but not 125. He has decent bases which will help. Regardless, I'm very happy and I'm going with a shoulder mount, maybe a wall pedestal like this:
