Well, got in from checking my cams and putting out corn last night, there were 12 deer around the cpl oak trees by the swing set in the front yard. 200yds away is a thick biological food plot - protein feeder/corn feeder, 100yds the other way is 80ac of winter wheat.....but no, they wanted to be in the front yard, eating acorns. I still had corn out where I hunt from last Fri night, that mess rarely lasts the weekend and I’d only put out 100# vs the customary 200.

Moon's gettin' bad again too, but that ought to kick off some friskiness in the does...

                I usually don’t see deer until 8:30-10

Finally have deer out. It’s been slow.

Guy I hunt new property with text me he’s had 8 doe and fawn pairs in food plot so far. It’s taken a little longer than I figured (probably do too oil traffic) but the plan to take all the deer from surrounding neighbors looks to be headed in the right direction.

Can’t keep em safe if they ain’t in the safe zone

I’m glad someone is seeing some deer movement here in the pines

Saw some does early, decided to go ahead and kill one that blew at me last weekend.

7 does/fawns...2 nubbins, pretty good 8. All the does are still sitting on corn, so maybe some new buck will come check on them.

Had this one pop out this morning. One of the few deer I have gravity feeder trained. Studly little 3yo.

6.5 man bun taketh away this morning. First deer I've taken with a rifle in 6 or 7 years.

                                Back to archery mode.
