    Ruger SR40C light strike

Didn’t have any issues at first, miss fired every few rounds, to firing 1 out of 10. Has light primer strikes on casing. Has anyone else had this issue or may know the cause.

    How many rounds through it?

Make sure striker channel is clean and dry. No lube on the striker. It can get gummed up and produce light strikes.

I have one striker-fired pistol that doesn't like the primers in non-brass cased ammo.

      Change ammo brands.

Especially on that Model of Ruger... My dad's suffers from it consistently. Youtube videos for a full teardown and clean exist.

Maybe 150 rounds. Different types of ammo. Internals cleaned after each session.

I’ll check YouTube. I keep thinking the fire pin or a spring went bad.
