Navasota Rut?

First year hunting a spot on the Navasota in Brazos County. I know Ive seen other foks on here talk about hunting it. Does anyone know when the peak of the rut usually hits?

I know the big ones are moving .. in the last 3 nights, there were 3 nice bucks laying on the side of 6, just north of the river.

The following nite, they were decapitated.

Hate to hear that. That's where Im hunting. Didn't happen to see one with a palmated side did you?

The bucks around Carlos, per our game cams, split up just about 8 days ago and I watched a couple running with their noses stuck out 2 days ago. I suspect they will be acting that way the next 3 weeks.

The rut has really picked up in central Grimes county. Now the big boys are in on the action.
