    Corral trap?

Has anyone used a 5” panel for a corral trap and wished they went with the 60” panels instead?

Assuming you mean a 5' (foot) panel then that would be exactly 60" tall. I'm confused.

I've built a circle C trap with 52" combo panels. It works.

      Sorry, I meant 50” or 4’.

I’m currently building my trap with 50” panels and I’m having second thoughts about bumping up to the 60” panels but, I’m not sure it’s worth going from $22 a panel vs $52 a panel.

I have seen them climb out of both depending on how sturdy the trap is. Go tall and either fence the inside top and/or leave the top of each panel untied so it is unstable when they start to climb out and check traps early in the morning.

I used to build traps and used them quite a bit myself also, I have not seen a hog get over a 5' panel although anything is possible. You can use a 4' BUT...only if you fashion a rail of some type inside about 6" wide or better. I have done that to existing traps by running wire back and forth in a way that creates a pretty good screen they can't navigate.
