    Well, thats one down!

Been working hard on getting our debt paid off. I'm planning on retiring in 5 more years. Yesterday, I stopped by the credit union and paid off our home equity loan. I'm going to use that payment to hammer on one of the credit cards. I'm getting there.

Thats the way to go into retirement no bills and updated /reliable ac/autos/ other big ticket items...We did it that way almost 15y ago and still have over 95% of our nest egg...and we re-piped house/new patio structure and roof/replaced tub with walk in shower and remodeled bath room..out of pocket...Re roofed house hail but ins paid most..
I had both Knees replaced and wife had back and brain surgery in our spare time..
We also traveled with RV for almost 4y and Hunted and fish in our spare time.

So its Can Be Done......And we just regular folks that worked hard for this and so far its been GREAT

Good job, I'm in the same boat with 5.5 years left. I'm too worried about paying the house off since I got enough equity in it to build whatever I want for cash once we retire.

There is about 3 years left on the house. I'm just letting it ride and working on everything else.
