    Correct aim point?

This weekend I was in an unusual spot. I was in an elevated riffle blind. 16 feet to the floor. Bowhunting out of the door on hand corn. I shot a doe shooting for the exit. The shot was high. It was fatal but I wondering what was is correct aim point.

Where was the exit? Sounds like a good shot if she died. I’m roughly 16-20 feet up in a tree and that how shot em. Aim for the exit. Have always had luck.

The true distance is from the base of your stand to the target not straight line distance from your eye to the target. If you range on a steep angle and shoot that pin you will shoot high.

All my stands are at 16-18 ft. Every entry is high because almost all my shots are 10 and in.

Just bend at the waist and aim for the exit. You'll be good.

Right at 20 yards. Exit was at least 1/3 up the body. Entrance about 6 inches from the top of the back. Double lung but a tough track.
