We got invited to help reduce aoudad numbers on a friends ranch. This was the first time we had ever hunted them and didn’t realize how tough they are. It was spot and stalk as there are no feeders or bow blinds on the ranch. We quickly realized they stick together and stay in the thick stuff when pressured. We lost a lot of arrows trying to shoot thru the brush but managed to remove three sheep. We killed more trees than sheep. Getting the little guy at 31 yards with my longbow was the highlight of my hunt. The big one was a tough beast. I gained a lot of respect for the guys that bowhunt those things.
