My aunt and uncle lived outside Blackhawk back in the 80's, 90's. There was a pizza place back then that served Pizza by the pound. They had a deal similar to the big steak house in Amarillo where they had this huge pizza that if you could eat it all the table ate free. Can't remember the name of the place or if it is still there. They lived on "Oh my God" road, which was a winding road straight up the mountain from Denver.

Yes the pizza place is in Idaho Springs, it's called Beau jo's well worth going. Expect a wait but it is good. Also not to far from Mt. Evans if you've never driven up on a fourteen thousand foot mountain it's got some great views.

Not sure it’s open yet, ( road that is) we have a ton of snow still up high. Some places like 8-10 feet. Should be melting a lot this week, our first real warm weather. Don’t think they allow smoking in the casinos any more either.

Not much to do in Black Hawk except gamble. You could go check out TommyKnocker Brewery in Idaho Springs. It's a cool place I like to stop at when I'm in the area. You could head up to Nederland for a few hours, and keep on going to on into Rocky Mountain National Park. You would be on the Peak to Peak Scenic Highway from Nederland to Estes Park, and that is a nice drive

I forgot there's like record amounts of snow all over the state you're probably right. should be a green summer and hopefully great hunting come September.
