Battle between the haves("the gouger") and the have nots("whining want to be buyer"). It's not food, water, or shelter so no one has to buy the stuff. I have yet to see any of the people whining about gougers selling any ammo at $0.10-30/rd. Glad I have plenty to trade, so prices haven't affected me too much. I should be good for a year or two.

Ammo gougers

The coerced me back in.....I was merely explaining how TBH was back just a few years ago and correcting him on the "member numbers"......fully knowing that I wasn't changing anybody's mind or expecting the thread to end when I posted like several here. Call it what you want..
Hey now, I’ve never been secretive about what I was doing. When I list things on TBH I always list them at a price I feel is below market value (based solely on SOLD gunbroker listings), whether it be ammo guns scopes whatever. Now the reasoning for that isn’t because I think everyone here is super and I’m helping out my brothers, I’m discounting it because it’s convenient for me and I know the folks here will actually follow through and pay etc.
I was merely pointing out the irony of your posts. Like the guy who was listing ammo here last week wanting 9mm in trade and boasting about wanting to help out his brothers when in reality he was just wanting to get 9mm at old prices, it was abundantly clear when he made new threads for his 6.5 and wanted close to $3 a round, guess his brotherhood went out the window when he couldn’t find 9mm.
Edited to add: I’ve attempted to become an associate sponsor twice, even sent another PM to Keith and Michael a few weeks ago.

Sorry OP but can't help it. Since every one else is trying to make a profit I have 2500 sheets of 3/4" CDX plywood on sale for a starting bid of $75 dollars a sheet. Good deal when you cannot find. Next month going for $90. Lol. Heard toilet paper hording is coming back also. Lol

Let me know how many rolls you need.
$4.99 for the first roll, and price doubles for every roll thereafter.
Supporting members get a 5% discount after the first 10 rolls .

Let me fill you in on the classifieds I remember.. There was a time not 5-7 years ago and before a fella would buy all the stuff on clearance at Academy (shirts, blinds etc) and try to mark them up here to resell and most of the TBH members would hammer down on them. There are other instances... too many to list. The place did not take kindly to gougers and resellers. The place kinda policed itself in that arena. The overall consensus and I've heard it said by mods here that the classifieds was for members to sell their used stuff amongst themselves at a reasonable price. Basically allowing TBHers to move some stuff they no longer used and TBHers to buy used stuff at a discounted price. But the jist was not to F your fellow TBHer because you could. New stuff could be sold with a sponsorship of course. These days some folks almost rejoice when **** sells at a ridiculous gouge and you have TBHers coming to defend them for doing so yelling capitalism, free-market and "you should have bought it when it was cheap" to justify the folks doing it.. And for the record I have mine, I've no need to buy unless I find it at a retail store so its not sour grapes. I'm just amazed at all the enablers compared to where this place used to be not even 5-6 years ago. Heck in the last ammo craze folks were more against it then they are now. Like several have said here and other threads, we don't care that a fella buys and gouges elsewhere....knock yourself out.....we care that they do it here. I know I'm not going to change anybody's minds. I just wanted to go more into detail for the folks that just don't understand how folks can have an issue with it....
There was no need to keep this thread at the top until you posted this. Spot on!!! This should be posted in the top of the classifieds or made to read before you get access to the classifieds.

It reminds me of a reality show on TV I used to watch of a pawn shop. Folks would bring an item in and try to sell it. The owner would make them an offer to buy it and they would go nuts. Yelling and cussing that he's "ripping them off". I would just laugh and think how stupid that is. They didn't have to accept the offer. All they had to do was say "no thank you" and walk out with their item. It's pretty much the same thing here. There's no such thing as "gouging" on ammo...literally not possible. If someone posts it for sale and someone buys it then they obviously weren't too high were they? If it's too high then don't buy it....its' really that simple. IMPOSSIBLE to get gouged on ammo. Then you have the guys saying it's ok to sell it high, just not on this site. I wonder if they realize the same people frequent the other sites too. LOL
Don't want to get "gouged", don't buy it.... it really is that simple folks. People aren't going to sell lots of ammo for 1/2 the market value unless they are helping folks out. All you're doing by showing your butt toward them is making them take it somewhere else to sell it and the members here don't even get a chance at it. All the whiners about gouging are free to post their ammo hoards for sale for 1/2 the market price if they really want to help out the brotherhood. I don't see any listed though....
Again, makes me no difference. If someone needs ammo I'll usually give it to them for free. Just LOL at the hypocrisy sometimes.
Anyway, y'all carry on. Try not to get "gouged" today, it's Friday.
