Seems like the craving never goes away
Been 10 years for me. But still miss it,
I quit 15 years ago. I will never touch tobacco in any form, ever again...but if I knew, without a shadow of doubt, in my heart of hearts, that it would never harm me in any way, I’d go out and buy a can.
I Quit dipping 9 years ago after two cans of Copenhagen a day for a long time.. I woke up one day on a drilling rig and was brushing my teeth and my gums wouldn’t stop bleeding...
Also Dad got cancer about 3 years ago after 40+ years of dipping and the treatments are awful!! So users beware

Good lord. I thought my one dip a night was bad. I can’t imagine how that feels the following day after a night of sleep. Congrats on quitting.
I quit 20 years ago, but it still smells good when someone opens a can around me, but there is no way i would do it again. I never think about it now, unless i smell it...lol
I quit about 8 years ago after dipping for 39 years. I still crave it all the time, especially when I am knocking a few cold ones back around a camp fire. Don't start if you haven't yet, kicking the habit is a beech.
I dipped Copenhagen for many many years. When my daughter was 3-4 I grabbed a pinch. She asked me daddy what is that. I said bad stuff. Don't ever touch it. She replied, Wham do you put bad stuff in your mouth. I spit it out tossed the can right then and there. And said I will never do it again. You're right. My daughter is 15 now. I miss it often while fishing, working, hunting, campfire, awake. But will never touch it again.
