Hey guys because I am very inexperienced and ignorant to a lot of this stuff, what is the downside to hunting with a shorter bow like the bear I am using ? Thanks
Finger pinch if you have a long draw length and if you torque at all it is magnified.
But I haven't shot mine in years. I started with it and I struggled. I went to a Sage and it was easier to shoot.
However maneuverability in the stand is better.

Like stated above, finger punch is an issue fir guys with longer draw lengths. A lot of those bows will stack pretty heavy too if you are pulling them much past 28”. Other than that, if you can shoot it well, there really is no downside!

I draw about 28 and shoot 3 under have not noticed any issues with, stacking or pinching around the knock point. This bow is very light weight and easy to maneuver, I read it was one of Bears cheaper models sold at Kmart and Montgomery Ward back in the day. It did the job for one young WT doe anyway. I took yalls advice and shot the Magnus broadheads , complete pass through and deer was pouring blood.
