Was lucky enough to arrow a nice mature 8 last night in Rusk county. I have 3 years of history with this deer. The rage trypan ate him up and he fell within 40 yards. Only my 2nd deer to ever watch fall. You just can’t beat bowhunting!

Guys I am sick. I was 2 seconds from slinging lead at a NICE buck and a **** boar hog runs him off. Naturally I dumped the hog for screwing me over. I purposely shot him in the guts and won’t apologize. Man I am ****** off.

Thats true. I had him dead to rights though. Safety was off and I was ready to go.

Disclaimer: Our rut is last week of October, first week of November but....

Last night on covert I had 2 does on the hand corn, buck came in from left with nose down ran them off. Came cruising back by 8 minutes later. They are moving around out there getting warmed up.

It feels outstanding up here this morning.

Definitely an awesome morning. Great weather and gods creation was something to see.

Just wish I had more than two does, that were out of range, come to my viewing area.

It seems only the hogs are going to my corn right now.
