I was on AT today cruising around and I always appreciate people's creativity on the D-I-Y forums here and there. This guy said he made a $20 bow press and I was skeptical but looked. Pretty neat idea, except the fingers are not adjustable in width.

Neat little press! Years ago I got an idea from archery talk about building a drawboard/shooting machine from a ryobi miter saw stand. Never finished it, but if you build this press I'll make you a smoking deal on the drawboard/shooting machine!

I built the same press years ago. Works like a champ and is very portable.

Looks dangerous to me. I'm sure some modifications could be made to secure the bow a little better.

Harbor Freight bow press..... those words don't go together....lol. Pretty good idea though. I bought a ratchet one a few years ago for about $40. Had to modify the fingers for a Mathews bow but it works great and very transportable.
