Amazing that the state can run any control burn without strict wind/humidity/temp controls in place.

From what I’m hearing this morning it’s only 10% contained.

“burn boss’s with a large culmination of prescribed fire experience in our Lost Pines ecosystem and tens of years of research, education and training."

I hope they really didn't state "tens of years" of RET. :-). Moron action day. Nothing prescribed about it.

I was just telling someone how dumb our license is compared to other states.

Hunting license, boat registrations and any other fees will be going up to cover this

They were predicting high winds yesterday.
If anyone else would have done this they would be going to jail with a hefty fine.
                    Bad decision.
I hope they get it contained.

I live about 13 miles from the fire and last saturday morning my phone was blowing up with messages from the county emergency services warning about outdoor burning with the high winds. They better get it under control soon, the winds are going to pick back up.

So are they responsible for all the damage caused to private property?
