We have way too many doe. We have been getting a few hunters out on doe hunts. We tell folks right up front we aren't a commercial hunting operation. They stay with us in out hunting cabin and we eat together. Basically a semi guided (we put them in a blind and pick them up) set up and hope they enjoy the weekend. This weekend it was two brothers. Very nice guys.
These two had been burned on a commercial operation or two the last few seasons and were skeptical but very happy with the load they are taking home in ice chests. They both got two doe and a pig. One shot all three of his in the same sit. After the 40+mph winds Friday evening only one doe was down but both finished up yesterday morning. Last night they sat for pigs but the pigs aren't really hitting the feeders regularly.
Anyway, they are sleeping in this morning.
They weren't much for pics with doe and pigs and they set right to work cleaning them.
