VERY highly doubt CWD. More than likely pneumonia or another respiratory disease.

EHD maybe? Is there another substantial out break? Even so EHD mortality is way more likely when it's warmer for a number of reasons...

That’s the other option mentioned that I couldn’t remember - EHD.

This. And yes, currently in another out break now is parts of Iowa. Really sad such a great deer haven has gotten slammed so hard with EHD.

It sucks when that stuff gets any deer, but it seems even worse when it's a big one. That deer was a hammer! Hopefully they can find the deadhead at least.
