Congratulations sir, You did the right thing by killing it. The same thing happened to me a few years back and the "Big one" never showed up...

Public land is the REAL Hunting in my opinion....

1. No feeder
2. Have to avoid other hunters
3. Educated Deer
4. in most cases no ATV or Mules allowed, you have to huff it.
5. Not High Fenced (which I think is BS)
