Lost my partner....

In my avatar. Yesterday was Remi's 3rd birthday, and last.

Sunday morning after getting home from work she was her normal fun loving hyper self. Sunday night quit eating and rapid decline. Only thing the vet could find Tuesday was super high calcium levels (possibly "para hyperthyroidism"). The super high calcium quickly caused her kidneys to fail. Had to make the call last night.

I know there's so many more important things in life to live for, grieve for, but there's going to be a bump in the road for a bit. Going to work will be a bit harder for awhile.

I can’t imagine the time and effort that goes into training a police dog and I know that translates into love and attachment for the owner/ trainer. Sorry to hear about this.

Sorry bud. This last week I have been thinking about the ones I have lost. The current brace is getting old. All of us are in our 60's.
