No joke, beautiful points. I wonder if they were surface finds or digs?

Fairly certain this isn’t a perd. The flaking isn’t typical for a perd.

Dukfvr that sure looks like a hide scraper. What does the other side look like?

On second look I do see the other side. It's about the right size for a scraper but I can see it being a preform too as the others have suggested. Any time I find a scraper I assume there's a camp nearby.

Flaking looks more jetta but stem is short. One of the reasons I asked for better pics . I gotta stick with pedernales unless better pics show something diagnostic. I do see what you are looking at though. The flaking hints it might be older.

Ok, I just saw the better pics. Looks like the base may have been damaged on both corners. They could have drooped enough for Jetta. That flaking is fancy.

You mind sharing what county? I have a deer lease in Bandera Co with a known camp, but there is so much rock digging is almost impossible. Looking for tips!

The Angostura from blanco and the other from travis.
Look around a water source like a creek, river, or dried up spring. Usually out of the flood plain but not always. Good luck on your search.

Few more pictures of the base, not much missing.

Is it alternate beveled? Looking from tip down dies it look twisted? I'm beginning to think it was an older point rebased by a later culture.

I agree with it being an older point that was probably rebased by a later culture. I feel like that happens more often than one would think. Especially in areas where materials were not as abundant.
