This is the second group. 18 trapped and killed in Tuesday night. Another 8 were rehomed today. The smallest babies got out before we got to them today. I'll post pictures on Monday.

We added 2x4 no climb wire to the gate to keep the littlest babies in and added 2 x 10' rebar to the gate to keep the gate from bending out. We ran out of time to put panels on the corners.

Not any trouble yet with them trying to dig under or climb over.

Well I like dead pigs but at least you are catching them!

Kinda like a Roach Motel - Pigs check in, but they don't check out!
Unless they are small enough to squeeze out, they only leave when they are dead.

              Oh that's great news!

For GarGuy - 8 dead. Two black boars on the left, the rest were sows.

I love when a plan comes together.
I’m curious if the little ones that get away will ever come back in there.

You're making a dent in their population. Keep it up.

That pic makes my morning better. Getting 6 sows is real progress. I hope the yotes get the football's but I have had other sows adopt them here.

Yeah, well maybe there will be so many to adopt they won't be able to OR they will run the sows to starvation and they won't be able to rebreed due to poor condition. I'm devious thinking that way.

We are just getting started on scratching the surface of the population. My neighbor about 4 miles away will hunt them with a helicopter next weekend (weather permitting) and they will shoot 400+ pigs in one day. Then the helicopter will move next door and shoot another 400+ the next day.

I understand. Those things are great eating but I have gotten so sick of messing with them that I hardly ever eat any now. Just stupid how fast they multiply.
