I have no doubt there will be some killing when you get back in the woods with your boy!

Finally getting to bring this to the top again.

Between picking up a new lease last minute (Lots of work) and Livestock shows, I haven’t hunted much this season since Dad and I got back from Kansas.
My oldest son Bryce is home from College for the weekend so we hit the Polk County River bottom this morning hoping to get some sort of hairy mammal on the ground.
Bryce has his fiancé (Sydney) with him hoping to get her first bow kill. They both have bows in hand and Bryce’s Sendero 25-06 just in case something is out of range. This is a MLD III Lease.
They will be hunting out of a Maverick Blind on an 8’ platform. Long roads to shoot on East & West side and a pin oak flat to their North. Corn is 10-20 yards on all 3 sides.
They are meat hunting today so the first Nanny that steps out is in for a surprise!
I’m posted up in Old Faithful on the South side of the lease. Big 4X6 box stand on a 8’ platform with 300 yard roads to my East & West and a 200 yard lane to my North.
This stand holds a lot of deer. If you get zeroed here, it’s probably because you were sleeping.
I have a few more days to hunt before heading to work. So I’ll keep it Live as possible.

No deer for Bryce & Sydney yet.

The Old man ain’t giving up his homey hole.
In all fairness, one of the biggest deer to come off this lease, was shot in Bryce’s stand. Lol
Maybe I’m in the Gar Hole?

Zero Wasp! I made a quick trip down here Tuesday and bombed all stands. Lol

                                Woods are alive now!

2 more does and a yearling to my East.
                                3 Does to my West.

Small buck running the hooves off a doe I’m the acorn flat.

Coyote just ran 4 Does thru the timber. No shot.
                                I hate Coyotes!!!
