Default Christmas is coming early this year

Before I get over-the-top-can't-sleep-buck-fever excited, is this the same deer?

I hope these upload in order I specify. If not, the dates are on the photos.

comparing the 1st and 2nd pic, I want to say thats a different buck.

But its close and the VERY old age of both makes me think he is the same. His horns just don't quite match up

I agree the second picture I think is definitely a different deer. Look at his brow tines. First pic the left brow is shorter. The second pic they are the same length.

That’s just because his head angle is different, the “shorter” brow prob grows back so it makes it appear shorter. Looks at the g3&g4 on right side, perfect match and the right brow looks exactly the same. Same deer.

I think the day time photo buck of Oct. 12 is indeed a different deer. The tine length doesn't match up with the length in the other October photos. The daytime buck might be his son.

IMO...same buck in all pics....
Horns from one year to the next can change a lot - and if he's as mature as many think, this could play a big part too...

I had a buck go from 10 to 11 to 12 to 10 with the basic form, but very different length tines...if not for a scar on his neck to ID him, I would have sworn they were all different deer...

Good luck & put him on the ground!
Mine finally went ghost & I never got him!

I saw Christmas in person on Friday night, about 640. He was 60 yards through the trees. He is in full rut mode, trotting to the does, checking each one and walking away.

He is truly magnificent! Definitely an older buck - at least 6.5 if not 7.5. He has a pot belly and that is the only way I can tell the difference between him and the younger buck in the daytime photo above. Yup - there's 2 of them!

I just found out that a bunch of deer were poached very recently in our area. I can only hope Christmas wasn't one of them. I haven't been home before dark since Monday.
