Seadrift / POC Fishing Guide Recommendations

Taking a trip down to Seadrift / POC in late February to take a look at some lots and would like to do some fishing while I am down there.

Let me know your guide recommendations. Thanks in advance.

Disclaimer: I have a new boat on order and it's supposed to be ready around April 2022. Only reason I'm needing a guide.

Doesn't Capt. Glenn on here guide that area?

Not really. He guides out of Matagorda.

I've talked to him a few times and I'm pretty sure he frequents the Matagorda area.

Nathan Beabout is a good guide. He does navigation trips which would be very helpful for your situation. But I know he hits Mansfield in the winter and not sure when he returns.

Correct, I fish out of Matagorda.

I’ve heard a lot of good things about him. I thought about having him taking me out with the new boat once it comes in.

Will is more of a jetty guide. There are many good ones. Russell Hofer, Mark Robinson, many of the Bay Flat guides. Depends if you want to boat fish or wade.

Capt. John Ashley in Seadrift or Capt Keith Hudson in POC.

My husband is a full time guide (boat or wade) in Port O'Connor (we are lucky to live here full time). He will also do a navigation trip if you are looking to learn how to get around.

I don’t guide but would be willing to put you on fish if the weather is good.
