    One big hog problem

Literally, one single big hog and he’s a problem. I have two feeders, one behind a hog fence and this one out in the open. The plan was to go spend a weekend in a week or two getting rid of raccoons before they rip the motor off again. Wasn’t expecting a pig to beat them to it.

So what’s your favorite hog bate? With no corn in the feeder I’m going to need to draw him in for a shot in one weekend.

Without that corn he will likely move on until finds another feeder.

What Dale said. Get out there and fix that feeder. And put longer legs on it too, to get it higher, so he can't grab it. Then, if he knocks it over, maybe it'll hit him.

Yeah it’s a bit shorter I guess because those legs are about a foot into the ground so hogs can’t knock it over. Irony…. Guess I’ll see if I can raise it some and get it going again.

Clearly corn has always worked. I’ve never done that soured corn with diesel thing. Wasn’t sure if something along those lines was worth it or not. The nightvision is charged and ready to go.

Looks like corn to me, that's if you still have a feeder by the time you get out there.

A sow in heat, but that may be harder to arrange.

                    I'd use corn.

I was told by a friend that hogs really go for raspberry jello powder spread over some kind of sweet feed.

As others have said, match the hatch………corn.

I normally don’t use any of those fancy baits but I hadn’t fed since last season and wanted to try something out… deer and hogs loved this stuff

Hogs like corn. Try that. Has anyone said that.
