My son and I got word from our outfitter that his other hunters had left early so we could start hunting whenever we got to Idaho. We drove two FULL days and started hunting two days before our hunt was scheduled. I killed my bear on the second sit and Hunter had a very close encounter on his second sit (7 feet!) He killed his bear on his third sit. The remainder of our hunt was spent running hounds and sitting for a bigger bear. The weather turned bad and it was cold and rainy the last 5 days of the hunt. We saw tons of deer and Elk and bears. We walked through snow storms, hail storms and rain storms and enjoyed every second of it. This was the trip of a lifetime and not because we both killed bears. We got to see Mining camps and beautiful scenery every direction we looked. I cant wait to head back up there.
