It was the .338 Win Mags turn today

I don’t think I shot it since deer season. Someone was shooting not far from the house. I let 4 shots at my 50 yard bucket. Yeah I know 50 yards isn’t too far. I was more and less telling them mine was louder than theirs.
I love my .338, since it’s semi auto the recoil is pretty tame for launching a 225 grain bullet.

Lol!! I have one too. Mine is a BAR and it’s bark is pretty awesome. It’s bite is even better.

Yes, mine is a BAR. I have only tried 225 grain corelokts and 225 grain SST’s.
Funny someone said that it’s an awesome elk round. I traded a .308 for it cause the fella wanted an elk rifle. I don’t think he liked the recoil. We both got what we wanted in the trade so we both were happy

Should have brought out the 50cal muzzleloader.

I came very close 25 years ago to buying a .338 win mag in a Ruger stainless with the boat paddle stock. With the reputation those stocks had for recoil, I'm glad I didnt. For what it would be worth today i wish i had. Those stocks seem to have quite the following.

If you want to make some noise try shooting a 50 BMG into a pound or more of Tannerite at 100 yards. It will rock your world and others nearby. Always make sure you have a good backstop with the .50
