How would you respond to this

A member off another form bought two rifles from a gentlemen. When the buyer got home from work and started looking in the barrel this is what he saw. What would you expect the seller to do

Seems like he should have noticed that before handing over money

Ive had two issues similar to this.. guys ive bought stuff from when I asked how it shot they'll reply ''ive never shot it" as if it gives them an out on the gun working improperly etc... but I usually try to look down the barrel if I can. hope they make it right

If he bought them in person he only has himself to blame. If they were bought online and the condition was misrepresented then I’d expect a refund.

The seller also offered him a $100 back...…..
Like I said, sorry man... Take the money, and have a gunsmith
              resurface it...….

If I bought that off another forum I’d chalk that up to experience. If that happened here, I’d burn the guys chances of selling anything here to the ground if he didn’t make it right.

Is that rust inside the chamber?

Can’t just clean it and shoot it?

I bought some British service rifles looking like that and just polished them up
With metal polish and a electric drill ( they had been shot with ww2 corrosive primers and cordite ) they cleaned up nice no problems
But can’t tell by the pictures if this is worse?

                        Lol... tough guy alert!

Could have been an honest mistake, also tons of responsibility lies upon the buyer to look a product over before he buys....
