    Covert solar panel + enloops

Set my covert cam up with these items about a month ago and as of today my battery percentage is down to 40%. Any ideas?

    Is it facing south?
Is it partially under a tree?

Mine go up and down daily but never seem to die. My first set lasted about 18 months. I have seen them go down to 40% and then back up to 90% in a short period of time. I wouldn't worry unless it actually dies.

If you have the Remote control set to Real Time you can change to a delay and it should help a lot.

Slightly southwest it is on a shooting lane so it’s probably only in direct sun light for an hr or 2 best guess

My battery percentage will vary from 100% to 40%. If I get a lot of evening pics and then a lot of night pics with this cottonseed or alfalfa out it can and does drop down to 40...but its back to 80-100 by 1 or 2 if not overcast. It goes up and down all day. It concerned me at first but roysmoke above said its normal....and it was. A year later here we are still going strong and I rarely look at battery percentage any more unless its super cold or several days of overcast /rain...

Well like y’all say, I guess I’ll worry about it when it dies.

Those are the regular Eneloops. That's another reason they are going down to 40% on you. Their capacity is less at 2100mah. They will work but if you have high deer densities we and folks on TBH recommend the Pros at 2500mah. Just keep an eye on it and see how it does with the number of pics you require.

If you haven't bought the Eneloop Pros yet you can save some money by buying the Amazon Basics with 2400 mah. They are basically re-branded eneloop pros. Humper had real good luck with them all last year. I'll be using them when I need to replace mine.

Is your camera remote set on real time?
