Recently just watched this with the family and it is probably the most dumbest, stupid, funny movie I have ever seen😂.

That was the very first movie I ever PPV’d. I was so ticked that I wasted money on it when it was done. Several times over the next couple days my wife would walk in and ask me why the heck I was re watching it…I would reply “This scene is actually kinda funny” Took a bit to grow on me, but it’s one of my favorites now.

It's one of those that gets better the more times you watch it. My dad never watches movies, but I convinced him to check it out. Saw him a few days later and asked what he thought. "I kept waiting for something to happen...it never did"

Stupid and funny is about the best to describe it. One of those movies that you just can't help but stop and watch when flipping through the channels.

I believe it set a record at the time. The movie grossed over $40MM on a production budget of less than $1MM.

When that movie came out we were living in Austin and our daughter was in middle school.
I remember she had a birthday party themed after the movie and her girlfriends all came over dressed as the different characters.
I agree with some of the comments, it was so stupid you had to laugh!

A cult classic. I've probably watched it a half dozen times all the way through, and countless times as I run across it flipping channels. It's absolutely brilliant. One of those movies that, looking back, you couldn't possibly cast it any better.

I lived in Utah when that came out. I have a copy of the very original that was submitted to the Sundance Film Festival. There are a lot of extra scenes and part of it is in black and white so no one could steal it and submit it as their own. Hilarious movie. If I ever win the lottery I am going to get a Liger.

My ex wife loved it. I just didnt get it. Maybe I should watch it again and see what I missed. It was stupid and pointless. Absolutely one of the worst movies I have ever seen, runner up being the movie about the 18 wheeler that hunted people down that I watched on our betamax in 1988.....

You either have that weird sense of humor or you don’t. I found it really funny but I remember recommending it to a couple of friends who not only didn’t find it funny they thought it was so stupid it made them mad and they thought I was a idiot for liking it
