Problem is they are so smart, they will train you !!!
On my second one ( almost 11 now ) & he is something else
They are super high energy & always need attention, mine loves to swim & fetch, tennis ball, Frisbee, sticks.
Kills everything that moves, frogs, snakes, lizards, birds. & squirrels.
Have fun.

Not a day goes by that I don't miss my JRT. She was an unstoppable force of nature, and fierce family protector. Anything that came in the yard was pretty much doomed-snakes, birds, armadillo's, skunks, Amazon delivery drivers ect

Dang that brings back memories from west texas. I had an Australian Shepherd and a lab that would get into a good Ole porcupine like clock work once a month.

I’d buy pet insurance.

I’d run him/her as much as possible. They can jump on anything. They can destroy anything with their mouths. You really need to be the alpha. They don’t have an off switch. They are great dogs though.
