    Utah Lion Hunt

My good friend and new TBH member, HBBears, wanted to do a Lion hunt for his 50th so we booked it a year ago. Got to Utah Monday morning and had two great toms in the truck by 2:30pm Tuesday. Super cold and great fresh snow on the ground. The dogs were amazing. First off, we found a track and a fresh kill, then the race was on. Had the Lion treed within an hour. As that was happening, got a call from one of the other guys that had cut a pretty good track. So my buddy finished his business with his lion and off we went. Let the dogs out on that track and had it treed in 30 minutes. Had to cover some country on both lions through fresh snow and up and down hillsides. Had the second one in the truck within two hours of the first. Total blast. I didn’t imagine we’d had two in day one. Great time and fantastic memory.

I've been told that those hunts can be grueling. Be thankful yours was pretty easy. Nice cats.

Total blast. I’m not sure what type of dogs they had. I just know they are tough and they hate those lions!!! We were in the Coalville area. East of Salt Lake.
