Default Stairs

Not sure whatís wrong with me. If I donít have 5 or 6 projects rolling I just donít know what to do. Iím an idiot, but started another. Stairs have been an eye sore and one of he last areas we have wanted to redo since buying the house 8 years ago. We see it daily from the home office since the covid nonsense. Yesterday the wife asked about doing the demo and starting it. Think the remnants of a good hangover clouded my judgement.

I like the spindles on the previous staircase, will you be reusing those or going to an entirely new design?

Did this project last summer. No storage, just pulled carpet, and laid wooden treads.

Now I have the master bath gutted redoing it. Between work being busy and baseball every weekend it’s been a sloooooow process.

That will make a nice little storage area under the stairs.

Thanks all. Proud of this, and everything done to the house. Had an appraisal done for a pool loan- value is up 110% in 8 years, 42% gain on purchase plus cash into it.

That turned out beautiful, a really nice job on the stairs. Can understand why appraisal shows your home value increased so much, you do great work!

Doing the buttress wall for the railing is the cleaner way to go. I didnít do it but should have on my latest house.
