9.5 is my estimate. First started hunting him in 2017 and called him 4.5 then. I’ve seen him just about every season from a stand…. Just wrong trail or wrong scrape line. Every time I’ve seen him in person he has not walked past a camera except the first time

Is honestly rather him die that the new troll THATS tried to move in, by 100% tracking my truck. He will put enough pressure on him to change things for sure. May be the reason he’s off his normal routine anyway

It’s almost as much fun honestly just to keep him alive in the gauntlet he’s in. Lol

Pretty sure it’s the same guy. Didn’t put up our trespassing signs or purple paint earlier this week when I took the box blind in. We’ll update then go the GW route if he shows again.

Any of y'all had much luck hunting over scraps? I've set a few cameras up on them and they go cold. I assume I've left too much scent being careless.

There’s a difference in scrapes. This time of year I see a lot that get hit one time and never again, I assume just bucks cruising.
Then there are other scrapes that are there year after year, those I have had better luck with.

All my major scrape activity in daylight anyway is August through mid September. It’s non stop

Typically A taped made along a trail year after year are a good indicator of natural travel…. Though probably dark. Random smaller scrapes and ribs are often made out of frustration and may never see a deer the rest of the season

I hunt an area…. And if it happens to have scrapes and right be good! If not I’ll hunt it vs sitting over one at any time of the season. You might get lucky….. but the odds are not in your favor

Suppose to have a pretty good front coming in next week. Calling for low in the mid 30's on Wednesday in Houston county.

Going to head to lease for the week and hopefully see some good daylight activity.

Don’t like the weather conditions AT ALL. but I’ve been in tree since 3:00. 3 new scrapes since rain stopped around noon on old road bed walking in. I could hear a buck making another rub/scrape within 40 yards of me but can’t get a visual. Small 8 and a goofy spike live 24hrs a day in the area but who knows

ME was at feed pen 3:30am. Tons of deer last night. None in daylight on camera anyway this morning

Hot and slow in San augustine county. Not a lot of acorns but I'm watching some whiteoaks that are dropping a few.

Anyone know which part of Jasper county the 170" came from? I know of a mid 60s killed on the south end of the county.

Same at my lease. I did find some scrapes this weekend but they'd obviously not been touched for a while.

I am thinking outside the box (literally and figuratively) and now have a climbing stand positioned along an old logging road where two SMZ's intersect. One of the SMZ's was littered with fresh rubs, and that's where I found the aforementioned scrapes, so I've got a camera watching the road bed now. I'm pretty darn excited to get back and see what shows up.

With my luck though it'll be a 2.5 4-point or something.
