Default Some future projects in the making!

Took time off working on the house yesterday and did some milling. Recently got some pecan trunks and cut them 2-2 1/2 thick. 7-9 ft and 20 wide. Going to air dry for a month or so then have them kiln dried.

Yeah I figure when I am done building/working on my barndo and doing the diy thing I can start making and selling things. I cut these heavy for table tops and maybe some legs/supports/trusses etc. its just going to take time.

Lots of potential in that beautiful stack of lumber. There are going to be some awesome projects in your future for sure. Really dig the color and grain pattern in first pic.

I cut this stuff green and by looking at the slabs its fairly free of insects. I have cut pecan before and let it sit a year or so to get some spalting going on and have had insects in the wood. Like stated already this will be kiln dried and the heat kills the insects. FYI sometimes wood biting insects make some interesting holes in wood. Here in south Texas mesquite comes to mind.
