My son and I have been hunting our lease pretty hard this year but no luck. We have been keeping an eye on the deer at our place where we live for a shooter to make a mistake.
Yesterday morning one finally did. My son had to move into position by himself, I gave him the game plan on where to sneak up to and then said I would spot for him. With me looking through the binos he waited patiently as this buck moved into his line of sight, he stopped for a quick second and my son, Zander, dropped the hammer with his AR. He put a great shot right behind the shoulder and he only went about 40 yards before piling up!
Aside from a little coaching on where to move to, this was all on Zander. Super proud Dad right here. He has been hunting for about 4 years now and getting better each season!

Going to get a shoulder mount for his first solo buck. He has a smaller 8 that we did a euro mount on already in his room.
